Apache Doris (Apache-2.0), the high-performance MPP analytical (OLAP) database, on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS by cloudimg. MySQL-protocol compatible, single-node FE+BE, a per-VM root password generated on first boot, and data on a dedicated Azure disk. 24/7 cloudimg support.
## Apache Doris on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS by cloudimg
Apache Doris is a high-performance, real-time MPP analytical (OLAP) database that is MySQL-protocol compatible, so you can query it with any MySQL client or BI tool. This cloudimg image runs Doris in single-node mode (one Frontend + one Backend) on a JDK 17 runtime, with a unique root password generated on the first boot of every VM and all data on a dedicated Azure data disk. Backed by 24/7 expert support.
Fast MPP Analytics
Real-time, high-concurrency analytical queries over large datasets with a SQL interface on the MySQL protocol (port 9030). Connect any MySQL client or BI tool; create databases, tables and run analytical SQL out of the box.
Dedicated Data Disk
The Frontend metadata and the Backend storage live on a dedicated, independently resizable Azure data disk mounted at /var/lib/doris, separate from the OS disk and re-provisioned with every VM.
Secure First Boot
Doris ships a default passwordless root user, so a unique per-VM root password is generated on the first boot of every VM and written to a root-only file. The MySQL port 9030 binds to loopback by default.
