Apache NiFi 2.9 on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS by cloudimg. The open-source dataflow and ETL automation platform with a visual processor canvas, HTTPS behind nginx, flow data on a dedicated data disk and a per-VM login. 24/7 expert support.
## Apache NiFi 2.9 on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS by cloudimg
Apache NiFi is the open-source platform for automating the flow of data between systems: ingest, route, transform, enrich and deliver data through a visual drag-and-drop processor canvas with full data provenance and back-pressure-aware queuing. The cloudimg image installs Apache NiFi 2.9.0 on OpenJDK 21, fronts its mandatory HTTPS listener with an nginx reverse proxy on port 80, persists all flow configuration and repositories on a dedicated Azure data disk, and generates a unique single-user login on the first boot of every VM. Backed by 24/7 expert support.
Dedicated Data Disk
The flow configuration and the flowfile, content, provenance and database repositories live on a dedicated, independently resizable Azure data disk mounted at /var/lib/nifi, separate from the OS disk and re-provisioned with every VM. Snapshot it to back up your flows and queued data.
Secure By Default
NiFi 2.x is HTTPS-by-default with mandatory single-user authentication. The per-VM username nifi and a unique strong password are generated at first boot and stored in a root-only file. nginx fronts the loopback NiFi listener so only port 80 is exposed; front it with TLS for production.
