This Amazon Machine Image delivers the Chroma server fully installed as a system service, so a production ready vector database is running within minutes of launch. The release available is Chroma 1.5.
## Secure First Boot
Token authentication is enabled, with a unique token generated for every instance on first boot and written to a root only file. No shared or default token ships in the image.
## Ready To Use
Connect with the Chroma client, create a collection and add documents with your own embeddings. Data lives on a dedicated, resizable volume. The image ships no embedding model and is CPU only.
