Operational BI on DuckDB

Dedicated Data Disk

The sample project and the embedded DuckDB data live on a dedicated, independently resizable Azure data disk mounted at /var/lib/rill, separate from the OS disk and re-provisioned with every VM.

Rill's local UI ships without authentication, so every listener is bound to loopback (with an nftables guard on the runtime port) and fronted by nginx on port 80 with HTTP Basic auth and a unique per-VM password generated on first boot, written to a root-only file.
