Stirling PDF self-hosted PDF toolkit on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS by cloudimg. Merge, split, convert, OCR, compress, sign, redact and fill PDF forms - 50+ operations in a clean web UI, entirely on your own infrastructure with nothing sent to a third-party cloud. Protected by a per-instance HTTP Basic Auth password generated on first boot. MIT licensed.
Stirling PDF is a powerful, self-hosted toolkit that puts more than 50 PDF operations in a single clean web interface: merge and split documents, convert to and from PDF, run OCR on scanned pages, compress large files, add digital signatures, redact sensitive content, fill and flatten forms, and much more. Because it runs entirely on your own infrastructure, no document you process ever leaves your server. The cloudimg image runs the official Stirling PDF 2.14.1 container behind nginx on port 80, protected by a per-instance HTTP Basic Auth password so the tool is never exposed to the open internet without a credential. A unique password is generated on the first boot of every VM and written to a root only file. Configuration, custom files and processing logs live on a dedicated 20 GiB Azure data disk captured into the image, nginx is tuned with a generous upload size limit for larger PDFs, and an unauthenticated /healthz endpoint is provided for Azure Load Balancer probes. MIT licensed. Backed by 24/7 cloudimg support.
