Threaded Team Chat

Complete Stack

The full single-server stack the installer manages: PostgreSQL with full-text search, Redis, RabbitMQ, memcached, and the Django and Tornado application servers under supervisor, with nginx terminating TLS on port 443 and an HTTP-to-HTTPS redirect on port 80.

Dedicated Data Disk

The PostgreSQL message database - the heaviest, most valuable per-deployment state - lives on a dedicated, independently resizable Azure data disk at /var/lib/postgresql, separate from the OS disk and re-provisioned with every VM.

Secure First Boot

On the first boot of every VM the server hostname is set to the instance address, a fresh organization (realm) and owner account with a unique password are generated, and the credentials are written to a root-only file. No shared organization, account or default login ships in the image.

Firewall
