Overview
Apache Tomcat 11 is a servlet container that implements the Jakarta Servlet, JSP and WebSocket specifications for running Java web applications. It is a standard runtime for deploying Java based web apps and services.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg ships Tomcat 11 hardened and fully patched on Ubuntu 24.04, preconfigured so the server is ready to accept deployments on first boot. Manager access uses a unique credential generated on first boot with no default login, and the image is supported 24/7.
