Overview

Debian 13, codenamed trixie, is the current stable release of Debian, one of the oldest and most widely deployed Linux distributions. It is assembled and maintained by the Debian Project and is valued for slow, predictable change: the kernel, toolchain and library surface stay fixed for the life of the release, so software built against it keeps working. Debian is a collection of thousands of independently licensed packages rather than a single licensed product, and it is the foundation a large part of the Linux ecosystem derives from.

This image is a clean Debian 13 platform ready for you to build on.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg delivers Debian 13 fully patched at capture with no held packages, so you start from a genuinely current base rather than a stock snapshot. Unattended security upgrades are armed and verified against the Debian security suite, so the instance keeps patching itself. No password, no bundled key and no shared SSH host key ships in the image: host keys are regenerated uniquely on every instance and the only credential that works is the SSH key you supply at launch. Only Debian's free main component is enabled, and every deployment comes with a paired deploy guide and 24/7 cloudimg support.
