Overview

Apache Archiva is a repository manager for hosting internal build artifacts and proxying remote repositories for Maven, Gradle and Ivy. It gives development teams a controlled, searchable store for their dependencies and releases.

Why the cloudimg image

The self contained stack, a bundled Jetty container and embedded database, runs behind nginx, hardened and ready with no manual setup, and repository storage, the security database and the search index live on a dedicated resizable data disk. A fresh admin password is generated on first boot and stored in a root only file, with 24/7 cloudimg support.

Common uses

  • Maven artifact hosting
  • Proxied dependency caching
  • Internal release management
