Overview
Apache Solr is a search platform built on Lucene that provides full text search, faceting and near real time indexing at scale. It powers site search, catalogue search and analytics over text heavy data.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg provides Solr 9 hardened and fully patched, preconfigured so the search server is reachable on first boot. Data is held on a dedicated disk separate from the operating system, and the image is supported 24/7.
