Overview

Baikal is a lightweight CalDAV and CardDAV server for hosting your own calendars and address books, built on SabreDAV. It works with Apple Calendar, DAVx5, Thunderbird and any standards compliant client.

Why the cloudimg image

Baikal is preconfigured with PHP 8.3, OPcache, nginx and SQLite storage, hardened and ready with no wizard to complete. Every instance generates its own administrator password and encryption key on first boot into a root only file, so no default credentials ship, and 24/7 cloudimg support covers upgrades and client configuration.

Common uses

  • Private calendar sync
  • Self hosted contacts
  • Cross client scheduling
