Overview
BentoPDF is an open source, self hosted PDF toolkit that runs as a single web app. It brings together more than sixty tools for working with PDF documents: merge and split, compress, convert to and from images and other formats, rotate, reorder, delete and extract pages, add watermarks, stamps, page numbers and bookmarks, fill and sign, redact, compare, and adjust permissions and metadata. It is privacy first by design: every core operation runs entirely inside your own web browser using bundled libraries, so your documents are processed on your own machine and are never uploaded to a server.
It suits legal, finance, healthcare and administrative teams, and anyone who regularly assembles, edits or prepares PDF documents and wants a single self hosted toolkit they fully control, with no per document upload to a third party service.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg delivers BentoPDF as the official pre built release served as static files behind nginx, so the full toolkit answers in the browser the moment the instance boots. Because BentoPDF has no built in login, a unique administrative credential is generated on first boot and the web interface is fronted by a per VM password, so the toolkit is never left anonymously open. The image is hardened and fully patched, pinned to a known release, and every deployment is paired with a step by step deploy guide and backed by 24/7 cloudimg support.
