Horilla is an open source HR management suite that covers the whole employee lifecycle in one system. It runs recruitment with a candidate pipeline and interview scheduling, structured onboarding, an employee directory holding work information and documents, attendance with shift and late arrival tracking, leave with approval chains and allocation rules, and payroll with contracts, payslips, bonuses and deductions. Performance reviews, offboarding, asset assignment, an internal helpdesk and project tracking round out the suite. Everything the web interface does is also reachable through a versioned REST API, and the interface ships in twelve languages.
The image arrives with the application server, the background job runner, PostgreSQL, Redis and an HTTPS reverse proxy already configured, so a working HR system is available minutes after launch. No administrator account and no shared secret ship in it: the admin password, database password, cache password, Django secret key and TLS certificate are all generated on each instance's first boot and written to a root only file, and nothing serves until that completes. The first run setup wizard, which upstream leaves open behind a published password, is closed on arrival. Paired with a step by step deployment guide and 24/7 cloudimg support.
