Invio is a lightweight, self hosted invoicing app that keeps invoicing simple. You create clients, build invoices and quotes, track which invoices are paid, and share a secure link to an invoice so a client can view and download it without creating an account. Data is kept on your own virtual machine in a local database, so a small business, freelancer or contractor can run their own billing without a subscription or a third party holding their customer and revenue records.
It suits anyone who wants straightforward invoicing they fully own and control, rather than a hosted service, with just the features needed to send an invoice and get paid.
cloudimg ships Invio, hardened and fully patched, as the single official upstream container pinned to the release with an embedded database behind an nginx front end that terminates TLS. Security is enforced from first boot: a unique admin password and a unique session signing key are generated on each virtual machine, the admin account is seeded fresh into a brand new database, and a fresh certificate is created, so no default login and no shared signing secret ever ship. The application and its database are bound to the loopback interface with only the encrypted front end exposed, the local database lives on the machine you control, and every image comes with a paired deployment guide and 24/7 cloudimg support.
