Matomo is an open source, self hosted web analytics platform and an alternative to third party trackers. It measures visits, events, goals, ecommerce and campaigns across unlimited sites with no data sampling, and keeps every byte of visitor data on your own server. Configurable anonymisation, opt out and retention controls help satisfy GDPR and data residency requirements.
The cloudimg image is fully installed on a hardened LAMP stack of PHP 8.3, MariaDB and nginx with the analytics database on a dedicated resizable disk. Every launch generates fresh database and administrator passwords stored in a root only file, so no shared or default credentials ship, and systemd restarts the service on failure. Backed by 24/7 cloudimg support.
