Sanoid is an open source policy-driven ZFS snapshot management toolkit. It takes and prunes rolling snapshots of your ZFS datasets on a schedule you declare, and its companion syncoid replicates those snapshots to another dataset or host, giving you dependable, point in time recovery and off host backups for ZFS.
cloudimg ships sanoid hardened and fully patched, preconfigured with a ready to run demo pool and a sane retention policy so snapshots and pruning work out of the box, with no shipped credentials. 24/7 support is included with every image.
