Overview

Trino is an open source distributed SQL query engine for running fast analytic queries across large and federated data sources. It queries data lakes and databases in place through pluggable connectors, without moving the data into a central store.

Why the cloudimg image

The cloudimg image is hardened and fully patched with Trino configured as a single node coordinator and worker on a bundled Java 25 runtime, the Web UI, REST API and JDBC endpoint published on port 80. Sample connectors mean SQL works out of the box, further catalogs are added on a dedicated resizable data disk, and a unique admin password is generated on first boot behind nginx and stored in a root only file, with 24/7 cloudimg support.

Common uses
