Overview
Weaviate is an open source vector database for semantic, keyword and hybrid search over embeddings. It powers retrieval augmented generation, semantic search and other AI workloads by storing vectors alongside structured data.
Why the cloudimg image
The cloudimg image is hardened and fully patched with Weaviate running as a service behind an nginx reverse proxy on port 80, anonymous access disabled and API key authentication enabled. A unique key is generated for every instance on first boot and stored in a root only file, backed by 24/7 cloudimg support for schema design and scaling.
