Overview
Zen Notes is an open source, single binary note taking application that stores every note as markdown inside a local SQLite database with full text search, flexible tags, templates and image uploads. It gives individuals a private, low resource place to capture and organise ideas without a hosted service.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg ships Zen Notes preconfigured on a hardened, fully patched Ubuntu 24.04 base behind nginx TLS so the web interface is ready right after boot. A unique administrator credential is generated on first boot with no default login, notes live on a dedicated data volume, and 24/7 support is included.
