Zope is an open source web application server written in Python and organised around the Zope Object Database, a transactional object store that persists ordinary Python objects with no separate relational database to manage. Content and code are managed through the browser based Zope Management Interface, where administrators create folders, scripts and templates and control access. Zope pioneered the through the web development model and remains a compact, self contained platform for object oriented web applications and content services.
cloudimg ships Zope hardened and fully patched, running as a single Python service behind an nginx reverse proxy so the welcome page and management interface are reachable on first boot. No default login is baked into the image: a unique administrator password is generated on first boot, the object database lives on a dedicated data volume, and 24/7 cloudimg support backs the image.
