Overview

FerretDB is an open source document database that speaks the MongoDB wire protocol while storing data in a PostgreSQL backend. It is used to run MongoDB style workloads on open source foundations with familiar drivers and queries.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg ships FerretDB hardened, fully patched and preconfigured so the database is ready to accept connections, with data on a dedicated disk kept separate from the system. A unique admin credential is generated on first boot with no default login. Backed by 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • Document database workloads
  • MongoDB compatible applications
  • Open source data storage
