Overview

This listing is a collection of separate, one per product and version, chosen from the Software version dropdown at launch.

Why the cloudimg image

This image arrives installed, configured and hardened, so there is no manual setup before you can use it. It is built on a patched base, runs with credentials generated uniquely for your instance on first boot, and passes an automated health check before every release. Every deployment is backed by 24/7 support from cloudimg engineers.

Key features

  • Built on cloudimg's hardened Windows Server images: Microsoft Security Baseline applied with Microsoft's LGPO tool, Remote Desktop requires Network Level Authentication, SMBv1 is off, and Sysprep gives every instance its own Administrator password
  • Keep port 1521 closed to the internet: reach the database over a VPN or from networks you allow
  • Oracle Database 19c and 21c Enterprise Edition, bring your own licence: pick the release as the software version at launch

Description

This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for security hardening, secure-by-default configuration and per-instance setup.

What cloudimg adds to every version

  • Every image is built by cloudimg on its hardened Windows Server base, fully patched by Windows Update at build time, with the Microsoft Security Baseline applied with Microsoft's LGPO tool.
  • Oracle Database is installed from Oracle's base release media, and the SYS and SYSTEM passwords are generated per instance on first boot, so no default credential exists.
  • Build residue is removed and free space is wiped before capture.

Included products

  • Oracle Database 19c EE
  • Oracle Database 21c EE

Network and access defaults

  • Remote Desktop requires Network Level Authentication, SMBv1 is off, the security group opens Remote Desktop only (port 1521 stays closed) and instance metadata is IMDSv2 only.

Licensing

This listing includes no Oracle licence. You must hold Oracle Database Enterprise Edition processor or Named User Plus licences covering the instance under Oracle's cloud licensing policy (two AWS vCPUs count as one processor licence when hyper-threading is enabled). Options such as Partitioning or the Diagnostics and Tuning Packs need their own Oracle licences. Oracle Database 21c is an Innovation Release supported to July 2027.

This listing is a collection of separate AMIs, one per product and version, chosen from the Software version dropdown at launch.
