HiveMQ Community Edition is a single node MQTT broker implementing MQTT 3.1, 3.1.1 and 5.0. It provides reliable publish and subscribe messaging with quality of service delivery guarantees for connecting IoT devices, applications and services.

cloudimg ships HiveMQ Community Edition hardened and fully patched on Ubuntu 24.04, with the File RBAC authentication extension enabled so anonymous connections are refused out of the box. A unique broker credential is generated on first boot, so there is no default login to change, and every image is backed by 24/7 support.
