Vector Search for AI

Store and search embeddings at scale with the Milvus gRPC API (port 19530), drivable from pymilvus and the Milvus SDKs. Create collections, build indexes and run similarity searches for RAG, semantic search and recommendation.

Dedicated Data Disk

The etcd metadata, the minio object store and the Milvus data all live on a dedicated, independently resizable Azure data disk mounted at /var/lib/milvus, separate from the OS disk and re-provisioned with every VM.

Secure First Boot

Milvus authentication is enabled with a unique per-VM root password generated on first boot and written to a root-only file; the default credential is never shipped. The gRPC port 19530 binds to loopback by default.
