Microsoft SQL Server 2022 fully installed and configured on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, with data files on a dedicated, independently resizable EBS volume at /var/opt/mssql.

## Editions Available

This listing offers five SQL Server 2022 editions, each as its own delivery option you select at subscribe time:

• Enterprise -- the complete feature set for mission-critical production at scale (paid; evaluation until a product key is applied).
• Standard -- core engine for mid-tier production, up to 24 cores / 128 GB (paid; evaluation until a product key is applied).
• Web -- low-cost edition for public web-facing applications and hosting (paid; evaluation until a product key is applied).
• Express -- the free entry-level edition for small databases (10 GB max).
• Developer -- the full Enterprise feature set, free for development and test use only.

## Secure First Boot

On first boot a one-shot service generates a unique SA password and a cloudimg SQL login, removes the build-time memory cap, and writes credentials to a root-only file. No shared or default credentials ship in the image.
