Neuron, an industrial IIoT connectivity gateway that collects data from factory equipment over south bound protocols and streams it north bound to MQTT, ready the moment it boots with a live demo flow and a web dashboard by cloudimg.
Neuron is an open source industrial IIoT gateway that bridges operational technology and information technology. It connects to industrial equipment and PLCs over south bound field protocols such as Modbus TCP and RTU, OPC UA and Ethernet/IP, normalises the collected tag data, and forwards it north bound to MQTT brokers and cloud platforms in real time. A bundled web dashboard and REST API let you add devices, define tag groups, wire south bound drivers to north bound applications, and watch data flow live, so a whole edge to cloud data pipeline runs on a single lightweight node with no coding.
cloudimg packages Neuron as a ready to run appliance: the dashboard admin password is generated uniquely on the first boot of every VM and stored in a root only file, the dashboard and REST API stay bound to loopback behind an nginx front door so the only exposed surface is authenticated, and a live end to end demo (a local Modbus simulator streaming a real register value through the gateway onto an MQTT topic) shows the pipeline working the instant it boots. Every image ships fully patched, is paired with a step by step deployment guide, and is backed by 24/7 cloudimg support.
