Overview

1Panel is an open source web based control panel for managing a Linux server from the browser. From a single clean dashboard it handles websites and their reverse proxy, Docker containers and images, databases, files, cron jobs, SSL certificates and the host firewall, and it ships an app store of one click self hosted applications so common services can be deployed without touching the command line. A mandatory secret entrance keeps the panel hidden from casual scans, and role based access controls who can do what.

It suits developers, small teams and agencies who run their own servers and want a friendly graphical alternative to managing web hosting, containers and databases by hand, on infrastructure they control.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg delivers 1Panel fully installed with Docker Engine preconfigured, on a hardened, fully patched base, with the release verified against its official checksum before install. It is secure by default: no default login ships in the image. A unique admin username, password and secret entrance are generated on the first boot of every instance and written to a root only file, so no two instances share a credential and the panel is never exposed on a guessable path.
