Overview

Anubis is an open source Web AI Firewall and reverse proxy. It sits in front of your application and serves a lightweight proof of work challenge to suspicious traffic while letting normal visitors straight through, blocking known AI crawler and scraper user agents by default so aggressive bots stop hammering your site and running up your bandwidth.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg delivers Anubis hardened, fully patched and preconfigured behind nginx, terminating TLS on first boot with a per VM self signed certificate and a unique ED25519 signing key generated on first boot, so no secret ever ships in the image. Point it at your own upstream and normal visitors flow through while AI scrapers are blocked out of the box. Paired with a step by step deploy guide and backed by 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • Block AI scrapers and abusive crawlers in front of a website or app
  • A drop in reverse proxy that protects an upstream from bot traffic
  • Cut bandwidth and load caused by automated crawling
