DomainMOD is a widely used open source application for tracking domains and internet assets. It gives you one authoritative place to record every domain you own along with its registrar, expiry date, renewal fee, owner, category and stakeholder, so renewals stop being a surprise and nobody has to maintain a spreadsheet that is out of date the moment it is saved. This image delivers DomainMOD fully installed, configured, and security hardened so you have a working asset manager within minutes of launch, eliminating hours of manual dependency installation, web server configuration, database setup, and hardening that a self managed deployment requires. The current release in this listing is DomainMOD 4.23.
With a standard DomainMOD deployment you must install PHP and its extensions, configure a web server, provision a database, hand edit a configuration file, walk through a browser install wizard, remember to delete the installer afterwards, and then add the access restrictions the project itself recommends. This image completes all of that for you, so your team can focus on tracking assets rather than on infrastructure. Compared to free community images, this listing includes 24/7 expert support from cloudimg covering deployment guidance, registrar API setup, upgrades, and database administration.
Beyond domains, DomainMOD tracks SSL and TLS certificates, hosting accounts, IP addresses and DNS providers, and its domain queue can pull live data directly from registrar APIs including Cloudflare, Porkbun, NameBright and Internet.bs. It sends expiration email alerts, reports renewal costs across multiple currencies with automatic conversion rate updates, and ships a task scheduler that keeps all of it current. In this image that scheduler runs as a managed system timer every ten minutes rather than as a publicly reachable web endpoint.
Application stack: DomainMOD served by PHP 8.3 with OPcache and every required extension, the Apache web server with a TLS ready configuration, and a MariaDB database engine bound to the loopback interface only. Your entire asset inventory lives on a dedicated data volume kept separate from the operating system disk.
No administrator password ships inside this image. On the first boot of your instance a fresh database password and a fresh administrator password are generated for that instance alone and written to a root only file, and you are prompted to choose your own password when you first sign in. The installation wizard is removed and blocked rather than left sitting in the web root. Browse to the instance address and sign in. DomainMOD accepts requests on whatever hostname or IP address you reach it on.
