Overview

Apache Doris is a high performance analytical (OLAP) database with an MPP architecture and columnar storage, built to answer interactive SQL over large datasets at high concurrency. It runs here as a single node cluster of one frontend and one backend.

Why the cloudimg image

Doris is preinstalled and hardened, queryable over the MySQL protocol with no manual setup, and the database storage lives on a dedicated resizable data disk. A fresh database root password is generated on first boot for every instance and stored in a root only file, so there is no default login, with 24/7 cloudimg support.
