Overview
Apache IoTDB is a time series database designed for high volume sensor and device telemetry, with columnar storage, high compression and SQL like querying. It runs here as a single node service with a bundled JRE, a SQL command line client and the REST API enabled.
Why the cloudimg image
The database is preinstalled and hardened, with the entire time series store on a dedicated resizable data disk. A fresh root password is generated on first boot and the internal coordination ports are bound to loopback, so there is no default login, and 24/7 cloudimg support is included.
