Overview
ClickHouse is a columnar OLAP database built for fast analytical queries over very large datasets, with an HTTP interface, a native TCP protocol and a SQL playground. It suits real time analytics, log and clickstream analysis.
Why the cloudimg image
The server and client are preconfigured on a single node, hardened, with data on a dedicated resizable data disk you can grow and snapshot independently. A unique per instance password is generated on first boot into a root only file so the database never accepts unauthenticated connections, and 24/7 cloudimg support covers schema design and query tuning.
