Overview

MediaWiki is the free and open source wiki engine behind Wikipedia. It supports wikitext and visual editing, full revision history and diffs, watchlists, namespaces, templates, categories, file uploads, fine grained user rights and an Action API. It is widely used for knowledge bases, documentation and collaborative content.

Why the cloudimg image

The cloudimg image runs MediaWiki on PHP 8.3, MariaDB and nginx with clean short URLs and the wiki database on a dedicated resizable disk, hardened and ready with no manual setup. First boot generates a fresh database password, a unique administrator password and fresh secret keys, all in a root only file, so no default login ships. Backed by 24/7 cloudimg support.
