Overview
MinIO is a high performance, S3 compatible object storage server. It exposes an S3 compatible REST API on port 9000 and a web console for managing buckets, objects and access policies. It suits private object storage, data lakes and S3 client testing.
Why the cloudimg image
The cloudimg image ships MinIO preinstalled with the console behind nginx and object data on a dedicated resizable disk, hardened and ready with no manual setup. First boot generates a fresh root username and password stored in a root only file, so the well known minioadmin default never ships. Backed by 24/7 cloudimg support for IAM policy, S3 client integration and performance tuning.
