Overview
OpenSearch is an open source search and analytics engine and an Elasticsearch alternative, paired here with OpenSearch Dashboards for visualisation. It powers full text search, log analytics and observability over a single node backend. It suits development, staging and production log analytics workloads.
Why the cloudimg image
The cloudimg image runs OpenSearch 3.6 and Dashboards as system services immediately after boot, hardened with index data on a dedicated resizable gp3 volume separate from the OS disk. Every instance generates a unique admin password on first boot into a root only file, so known default credentials never ship, and TLS is supported via the security plugin. Backed by 24/7 cloudimg support.
