Overview
Percona Server for MySQL is an enhanced, drop in compatible build of MySQL that adds the XtraDB storage engine and an improved thread pool while remaining fully compatible with stock MySQL clients and drivers. This image ships it preinstalled and production ready.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg hardens first boot so every launch generates instance unique root and application passwords stored in a root only file, meaning the database is never left with default credentials. The server is preinstalled and ready, backed by 24/7 expert support for deployment, replication and performance tuning.
