Overview

Portainer CE is a web management interface for Docker that lets teams deploy and manage containers, images, volumes, networks and stacks from the browser. It removes the need to work at the Docker command line for everyday operations, giving development and operations teams a single visual control panel for their container estate.

Why the cloudimg image

The cloudimg image is hardened and fully patched, runs Portainer as a container managing the host engine behind nginx with in browser consoles and live logs working out of the box, and generates a unique admin password on first boot stored in a root only file so no default login ships. Its database sits on a dedicated, independently resizable data disk, and every instance is backed by 24/7 cloudimg support.
