Overview

Syncthing is an open source, continuous file synchronisation tool that syncs files directly between devices over encrypted connections, with no central server. It gives teams a private alternative to hosted sync services where data never passes through a third party.

Why the cloudimg image

The cloudimg image is hardened and fully patched and runs as an always on sync node in your VPC. A cryptographically unique Device ID, API key and GUI administrator password are generated on first boot and stored in a root only file so no credentials are reused across deployments, and 24/7 cloudimg support is included.

Common uses

  • Private file synchronisation
  • Cross device backup
  • Encrypted file transfer
