Overview

TimescaleDB is an open source time series database built as an extension to PostgreSQL. It adds automatic partitioning, compression and time series functions while retaining full SQL and the PostgreSQL ecosystem, making it well suited to metrics, events and sensor data.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg delivers TimescaleDB 2 fully patched on a hardened Ubuntu 22.04 base, preconfigured and ready to accept connections on first boot. A unique administrator credential is generated on first boot with no default login, and database files sit on a dedicated data disk. Backed by 24/7 support.
