Overview
Formbricks is an open source experience management and survey platform, a self owned alternative to Typeform and Qualtrics. Teams build link, website, in app and email surveys in a drag and drop editor, collect and analyse responses, segment contacts and track experience over time, all through a modern web interface and a documented API. Product, research and operations teams use it to run onboarding, churn, product market fit and NPS surveys inside their own cloud account rather than a hosted service.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg ships Formbricks hardened and fully patched on Ubuntu 24.04, running the official self hosted stack with a bundled PostgreSQL and cache on the same VM. Security is enforced from first boot: a unique owner administrator, application secret, encryption key, cron secret, database password and API key are generated on each virtual machine, the owner is pre seeded so no attacker can claim the instance before you sign in, open sign up is disabled and blocked at the proxy, and the database and cache are bound to the internal container network only. No enterprise key is set, so only the free open source core is active. It comes with a paired deployment guide and 24/7 cloudimg support.
