Why the cloudimg image

Description

This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for security hardening, secure-by-default configuration and per-instance setup.

What cloudimg adds to every version

Every image is built by cloudimg on a fully patched Oracle Linux base with the latest security updates applied at build time, with WebLogic Server or Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.12 (with its Vision demonstration data) installed from Oracle's base release media.
First-boot setup generates the administrator and application passwords (WebLogic, and every default E-Business Suite and database account) uniquely on each instance and writes them to a root-only file, so no default login exists and no two instances share a secret; the consoles and web tier are served over HTTPS with a per-instance certificate.
Build residue is removed before capture.

Licensing

This listing includes no Oracle licence (BYOL). You must hold Oracle licences covering the instance under Oracle's cloud licensing policy: WebLogic Server for the WebLogic versions, and Oracle E-Business Suite plus the Oracle Database it runs on for the E-Business Suite version (its Vision demonstration data is Oracle software too). Everything is installed from Oracle's base release media with no PSU or other Oracle patch applied: apply patches with your own Oracle support entitlement. The WebLogic versions include Oracle JDK 21, which WebLogic Server 14.1.2 and 15.1.1 require, used under Oracle's No-Fee Terms and Conditions (operator decision 2026-10-20, d-162).
