Overview

Icinga 2 is an open source monitoring system that checks the availability and health of hosts, services and network resources, executes flexible checks, tracks state over time and raises notifications. Its web interface presents live dashboards of everything it monitors.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg ships Icinga 2 with its web interface, database and monitoring core preconfigured on a hardened, fully patched Ubuntu 24.04 base, reachable over HTTPS on first boot. A unique administrator credential is generated on first boot with no default login, monitoring data lives on a dedicated volume, and the image is backed by 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • Host and service monitoring
  • Network availability alerting
  • Infrastructure health dashboards
