Overview
Nagios Core is an open source monitoring system that checks the health of hosts, services, and network devices and raises alerts when problems occur. It is a long standing tool for keeping infrastructure availability under continuous watch.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg ships Nagios Core preconfigured on a hardened, fully patched Ubuntu 24.04 base so the monitoring console is reachable straight after boot. A unique admin credential is generated on first boot with no default login, and 24/7 support is included.
