Oracle Instant Client 23ai is the lightweight set of libraries and utilities that lets applications and administrators connect to Oracle Database without a full server install. It bundles SQL*Plus, the OCI and JDBC drivers, and networking components used to query and administer remote Oracle instances.
cloudimg delivers Instant Client already installed and configured on a hardened, fully patched Oracle Linux 9 base, so the environment variables and library paths resolve the moment it boots. There is no default login: a unique administrative credential is generated on first boot, and 24/7 support stands behind the image.
