Overview

PrivateBin is an open source pastebin where the server has zero knowledge of what is stored. Text and code are encrypted and decrypted entirely in the browser, so the server only ever holds ciphertext and never sees your decryption key. It is used to share notes, code snippets and secrets privately, with optional password protection, discussion and burn after reading.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg delivers PrivateBin hardened, fully patched and preconfigured with nginx and PHP so it serves encrypted pastes the moment it boots. Paste storage lives on a dedicated data volume, a first boot note records the access URL for this instance, and a paired deployment guide walks you through launch. Backed by 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • Private encrypted note sharing
  • Secure code snippet sharing
  • Sharing secrets with password protection
