Overview

VictoriaLogs is a log database from VictoriaMetrics that ingests structured and plaintext logs over a wide range of protocols, stores them compactly on disk, and lets you search and analyse them with the LogsQL query language through a built in web UI and HTTP APIs. It brings together log collection, storage and querying in a single lightweight service, a practical alternative to heavier log stacks for application and infrastructure logs.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg binds VictoriaLogs to loopback behind an nginx HTTP Basic Auth gate, with a unique web password generated on first boot and no default login. Stored logs live on a dedicated data volume, the base OS is fully patched at build time, and every image is paired with a step by step deploy guide and 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • Centralised log management
  • LogsQL search and analytics
  • Cost efficient log storage
