Overview

YesCart is an open source e-commerce platform for building and running online stores. It pairs a customer facing storefront with a manager console for catalog, pricing, promotions, inventory and order management, and exposes a REST API for headless and integration use.

It supports multiple shops, currencies and languages from a single deployment, so a growing retailer can run several storefronts and fulfilment workflows over shared product and order data. Everything, from the catalog to every customer order, stays in your own cloud account rather than a vendor's hosting.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg delivers YesCart fully built and installed on Apache Tomcat with a Java runtime and a MySQL compatible database, behind an nginx reverse proxy that terminates TLS, all managed by systemd, so the storefront and the manager console are reachable within minutes of launch and never exposed with a working default login. The image is secure by default: the shipped default administrator is poisoned in the image and replaced on first boot with a unique per instance password stored in a root only file, the database password is regenerated per instance, and the application and database bind to loopback so only the TLS reverse proxy faces the network. The operating system ships fully patched with unattended security updates enabled, and every image includes 24/7 cloudimg support and a step by step deploy guide tested against the exact image you launch.

Common uses

  • A self hosted online store with storefront, catalog and order management in your own cloud account
  • Running multiple shops, currencies and languages from a single e-commerce deployment
  • A headless commerce backend serving catalog and orders to a custom frontend over the REST API
