Overview

CubeCart is the free open source self-hosted e-commerce store platform - build and run an online shop with a product catalog, categories and product options, a shopping cart and checkout, order and inventory management, customer accounts, tax, shipping and multi-currency rules, discounts and coupons, a themeable storefront and a full admin control panel with payment and shipping extension modules. This image delivers CubeCart fully installed and configured, so a working storefront and admin control panel are running within minutes of launch. The current release available is CubeCart 6.7.5.

Application Stack

CubeCart is a PHP application running on PHP 8.3 with OPcache and the mysqli, gd, curl, mbstring, xml, zip and intl extensions, served by nginx with php-fpm. MariaDB provides the database. A systemd timer runs the CubeCart cron every five minutes for scheduled tasks. The install has already been completed and the setup directory removed, so customers land directly on a working storefront and can sign straight in to the admin control panel.

Secure By Default

On the first boot of your instance a one-shot service generates a fresh MariaDB password and a fresh administrator password, unique to that instance, and writes the administrator password to a root only file. No shared or default credentials ship in the image.

Ready To Use

The CubeCart code tree, storefront document root, web server and database are all configured, with application files, product images and the database on dedicated, independently resizable storage volumes. Browse to the instance address to see the storefront, then sign in to the admin control panel to configure your store name, catalog, payment gateways and shipping.

Open Source Licence

CubeCart is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. This image ships the unmodified GPL community edition, including the Powered by CubeCart storefront branding. In accordance with the GPL, the complete corresponding source is the upstream CubeCart project and cloudimg will provide it on request.
