Overview
Grafana Loki is an open source log aggregation system that indexes labels rather than full log content for cost efficient storage and querying. It pairs with Grafana and the logcli tool for log exploration.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg preinstalls Loki behind an nginx reverse proxy on port 80 fronting the push and query API, with logcli included. A fresh HTTP basic authentication password is generated on first boot with no default login so the ingestion endpoint is never left open, backed by 24/7 support.
