Overview
OrientDB is a multi-model database. One engine stores graph data as vertices and edges and document data as schema-less records with nested embedded documents, and queries both with a single SQL dialect extended for graphs, so relationships are walked natively rather than reconstructed with joins. It ships OrientDB Studio, a browser workbench for modelling schema, running queries and rendering results as an interactive graph.
Why the cloudimg image
The cloudimg image generates a unique credential and TLS certificate on every VM at first boot, so nothing is shipped with a default login. The upstream distribution's bundled sample database, which carries well-known accounts, is removed at build time. The database's own listeners stay on loopback behind a TLS gateway, leaving only SSH and HTTPS reachable, and every image comes with a paired deployment guide and 24/7 support.
